Job Title: Construction Sales and Estimator
Job Summary: The Construction Sales and Estimator will play a critical role in expanding our business and driving revenue growth. This dual-role position combines new lead generation, relationship management, and estimating responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and sales, while providing accurate cost estimates for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and foster relationships.
- Develop and present proposals, presentations, and bids to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the project management and operations teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Analyze project requirements and develop bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Evaluate risk factors and recommend cost-effective solutions to optimize project budgets.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, contractual obligations, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and/or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and estimating software.
- Proven track record of generating new business and securing contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and other relevant software..
