Job Summary:
The Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for driving wedding sales, establishing lasting relationships with clients, and maximizing revenue potential. This position requires a blend of creativity, sales acumen, and strong communication skills to promote and sell our venue and services. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to achieve sales goals, while maintaining a strong customer service focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet annual predetermined sales goal
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential and current clients, maximizing revenue opportunities
- Book new and repeat business through various efforts, including sales calls, email and networking etc.
- Manage phones and conduct Sales Tours Tuesday - Saturday
- Create proposals, contracts, and BEOs in Caterease software, maintaining accurate client, event, and proposal information
- Maintain positive, effective communication with all departments and co-workers
- Work with our Social Media Manager to promote the venue, engaging with booked clients and keeping key sites updated
- Build new business relationships through networking and social media
- Assist in the interviewing and training of sales assistants, venue coordinators, and operations staff as needed
- Manage and resolve client concerns, elevating when necessary
- Oversee venue Rehearsals ensuring arrival of our Day-of Wedding Directors and proper client care
- Responsible for managing deposits, following standard operating procedures for payments and deposits
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in wedding or event sales (2 years required)
- Event planning or Wedding coordination experience (2-3 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the wedding industry, including trends, vendors, and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software (Caterease experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday
