After-School Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After-School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of students. This role requires a strong commitment to student engagement and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. The After-School Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to ensure the best educational outcomes for all students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and discipline.
• Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Supervise students during various school activities, including recess, lunch, and field trips.
• Support extracurricular activities such as tutoring, sports coaching, or camps as needed.

Requirements

• BSAC certification preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in classroom management and early childhood education principles.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus.
• Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater to students with special needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment.
• Experience in tutoring or sports coaching is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $13.50 per hour
