About the Role:
As a Manual Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality components for the steel manufacturing industry. Your primary responsibility will be to operate manual machining equipment, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, as you will be working with various materials and machinery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
- Ability to use and read a tape measurer
- Strong attention to detail
- Industrial background required
Responsibilities:
- Dedication to working safely
- Operate machinery including: Manual VTL's, Manual Lathes, Overhead Crane, Hi-Lo
- Perform routine cleaning of machinery
- Review work orders and cut pieces based on dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
