What will you do?
The Column Supervisor oversees all production activities for the separation towers; duties include assisting with the safe and efficient setup of multiple separation towers and being accountable for site monitoring of pressures, valves, pumps, and hoses.

Key Responsibilities :
Assist with the daily supervision and monitoring of the work of staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of column operationsEnsure the quality of products is maintained at a high level and in accordance with company policy and regulationsProvide direct and daily feedback to the Plant Manager regarding any personnel, equipment, safety, or productivity problemsOperate various pieces of process equipment related to the specific job function such as batch tanks, pumps, compressors, etc, and monitor and control temperatures, rotating equipment, pressures, mass, and volumetric flowImplement measures to improve production methodsWork with, supervise, and train employees to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders and fill cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standardsCarry out operational activity including preparing, filling, picking, and dispatching cylinders, as well as working in the recovery process so that we are available to fulfill customer ordersUnderstand hazards of various gases; sizes, and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanksDemonstrate the ability to be a safety leader by fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring a safe work environment with a commitment to zero injuries, emissions, and leaksMaintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S and lean projectsExperience, Knowledge, and Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college courses preferred5 years' experience in a chemical plant or experience within the compressed gas industry5 years of proven supervisory experienceDOT certification must be obtained within 1 yearForklift, overhead crane, and clamp operation experience or ability to become certified within 60 daysStrong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand toolsFunctional computer skillsEPA 608 Universal Certificate or must be able to obtain within 6 monthsPhysical Demand Requirements :
Frequently pushes, pulls, moves, and lifts up to 50 pounds independentlyFrequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbersManipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the dayConstantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and some exposure to outdoor weather conditionsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
