What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment/Spray Truck Operator position at A&H Forestry, LLC?
A&H Forestry, LLC, located in Sherwood, OR is seeking Two FULL TIME “Spray truck operators/Brusher”, operating in a variety of areas in Oregon and Washington. Spray truck operator is a summer job (May - Early October), which can lead into full time permanent if the applicant is willing to learn how to operate road brusher and/or learn forest inventory/plot work procedures. A successful candidate will be hard-working, self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing daily duties. They will have a general knowledge of GPS technology, automotive repairs, and have, or obtain upon hire, a valid commercial herbicide application license and drivers medical card.
Essential Daily Duties: Spray Truck Operator - Drives a 2.5ton truck with 500-gallon sprayer. Spraying gravels roads and road edges also perform daily/hourly maintenance on Spray trucks either in field or shop. Perform repairs on truck and sprayer as needed. Won't have a problem working with chemicals (All appropriate PPE is provided along with chemical training). Ability to follow shut down regulations set by state and location/contract working with/on. Drive to and from spraying/brushing location safely. Brusher operator runs a truck modified to mow road edges that cannot be sprayed be state regulations and specific restrictions. Most locations we spray/brush are 1.5-2 hrs from the shop. This job requires long hours through the summer, with mandatory overtime regularly and travel from home for 2-10 days at a time (sometimes more depending on the job).
Skills/Qualifications: Working knowledge of chemical handling procedures. Welding, metal working, wiring, and plumbing skills/knowledge is a plus. Must have good communication skills. Team player who also works well independently and to whom "thinking outside the box" comes naturally. Being able to trouble shoot problems out in the field is a must. Most importantly, working safely and knowing the hazards of the job.
A&H Forestry, LLC. covers a large area in the Northwest from Forks, Washington to Coos Bay, Oregon.
Positions require working outdoors in all types of weather. Work also includes prolonged, strenuous labor; working at heights, working with chemicals, herbicides, working around forest fires, and working around loud noises from machinery or equipment. Jobs are performed in remote location with no cell service. Most all jobs are completed individually.

Position requirements:
· This position does require weekend work and mandatory overtime when projects need to get finished before rain and/or permitted expiration
· Must have a valid driver’s license with minimal to no driving violation
· Must obtain valid commercial herbicide license upon hire (Paid for by A&H Forestry)
-Must obtain a driver’s medical exam
· This position can have required Overtime and Travel away from home. (Hotels are paid and per diem is given for food)
· Work safely on your own
· Wearing all PPE required
· Personal 4x4 vehicle that can be used to get to job site. (Miles are compensated)
