Facilities / Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The position of Facilities Manager will manage technicians, contractors and service providers to ensure the Roxtec facility is fully operational with all utilities & systems functioning properly. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage facility or maintenance technicians while driving a focus on safety, quality and operational reliability of Roxtec facilities, utilities and production equipment
• Oversee facility and maintenance technicians, ensuring a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and operational reliability of Roxtec facilities, utilities, and production equipment.
• Ensure the facility is fully operational with all utilities & systems functioning optimally
• Support the production team in scheduling and managing critical production equipment maintenance, including both planned and emergency maintenance
• Schedule, supervise, and verify work performed by subcontractors or trades on building repair and maintenance, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, septic, fire safety, alarms, landscaping, physical security, utilities, refuse, roof, and building structure.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to keep office, shop and warehouse fully functional, this includes preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
• Coordinate or perform periodic building & systems inspections with a high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs and cleaning
• Utilize MaintMaster to track and schedule maintenance-related activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Negotiate agreements with contractors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining operational reliability of the facility and systems.
• Coordinate and lead construction and renovation projects as delegated by Management
• Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas including offices, conference rooms, warehouse, shop, parking lots and outdoor space
• Ensure Roxtec Indoor Environment standards are maintained, including lighting, air quality, temperature, and noise, while promoting energy efficiency and savings within the facility
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all maintenance activities and contractor work.
• Coordinate the maintenance and stock of required maintenance supplies, materials and tools
• Prepare and interpret reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, environmental and other related activities
• Provide excellent service to internal customers, working promptly and diligently to resolve reported or known maintenance issues.
• Other facility management or reporting duties as required

Requirements

• Personnel and project management experience
• Strong procurement and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities maintenance
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and follow-through skills
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety and other environmental regulations
• Capable of making independent decisions and work with minimal supervision
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills, MS Windows & Office

Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years in facilities management with supervisor responsibility
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and trades for building repair and maintenance
• High School Graduate or equivalent
