The Position:
The Assembler supports manufacturing operations by performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, electronic and pneumatic tooling. Experience in mechanical or electrical assembly needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work to standard operating procedures or work instructions
- Perform assembly operations to produce complete product directed by manufacturing schedules
- Use various fixtures, hand tools and special tools, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products
- Perform quality control visual inspections or functional operation of material/ product before and after assembly
- Utilize good problem solving and troubleshooting skills to check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies
- Notify supervision discrepancies of work orders, material lists, assembly instructions or equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate /communicate with supervisors and leads
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow prescribed safety regulations
