About the Role:
The Assembler supports manufacturing operations by performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, electronic, and pneumatic tooling. Experience in mechanical or electrical assembly is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly operations to produce complete product directed by manufacturing schedules
- Use various fixtures, hand tools, special tools, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products
- Perform quality control visual inspections or functional operation of material/product before and after assembly
- Utilize good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies
- Notify supervision discrepancies of work orders, material lists, assembly instructions, or equipment malfunctions
Requirements:
- Knowledge and ability to utilize computers and related technology effectively
- Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, and measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret visual aids such as drawings/blueprints
- Experience in reading electrical diagrams is a plus
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm once trained. The work area and equipment must be maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
