About the Role:
The Nurse Manager of PeriOperative/Infusion plays a critical role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care in the perioperative and infusion settings. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nursing staff are well-trained, compliant with safety protocols, and equipped to provide exceptional patient care. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and streamline operational processes. Additionally, this role involves managing budgets, staffing, and resources to maintain efficient and effective service delivery. Ultimately, the Nurse Manager will contribute to the overall mission of the healthcare facility by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois..
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- A minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, prefer at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- BLS
- ACLS & PALS or ENPC (within 1 year)
- Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC and CMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred in Nursing
- Certification in Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff in the perioperative and infusion departments to ensure optimal patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
- Monitor departmental budgets and resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Managers call rotation.
- Irregular work including after hours if necessary.
