About the Role:
The Nurse Manager of PeriOperative/Infusion plays a critical role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care in the perioperative and infusion settings. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nursing staff are well-trained, compliant with safety protocols, and equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff in the perioperative and infusion departments to ensure optimal patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
- Monitor departmental budgets and resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- A minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, prefer at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- BLS
- ACLS & PALS or ENPC (within 1 year)
- Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC and CMS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree preferred in Nursing
- Certification in Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analysis.
