INTRODUCTION:
The Bishop of Manchester is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular diocese entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ's mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.
Each position employed in the Diocesan Administration Building helps to extend the ministry of the Bishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description. All employees of the diocesan administration assist the Bishop of Manchester in serving the parishes, schools and institutions of the Catholic Church in New Hampshire.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and Cardinal Lacroix Academy Administration.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Cardinal Lacroix Academy, a small Catholic school in Manchester, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Montessori Teacher to establish and lead a Montessori classroom for ages 3-6 for the 2025-26 school year.
The ideal candidate will be Montessori-certified and/or experienced and committed to fostering a nurturing, faith-filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that aligns with Montessori principles and Catholic values.
This is a full-time contracted position for the 2025-26 school year. Position could possibly be part-time with the right experience. If you are passionate about Montessori education and faith-based learning, we encourage you to apply and help shape the foundation of our new Montessori program!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and implement a Montessori-based curriculum for children ages 3-6.
• Create a peaceful, engaging learning environment that supports independence and hands-on exploration.
• Integrate Catholic teachings into daily activities, modeling Christian virtues.
• Guide students in their social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the parish community.
• Maintain Montessori materials and classroom order in alignment with Montessori philosophy.
