This temporary contract Property Growth Manager position will give you the opportunity to develop, execute, and iterate strategies to decrease housing insecurity for members of our community. You will be responsible for overseeing the sales cycle from prospecting to bringing on new multifamily and single-family Property Partners in Oregon and SW Washington. You will also play a key role in expanding our network by identifying and engaging Property Partners and managing those relationships.
This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in business development, outreach, and relationship management and is comfortable working independently to drive property partnership growth. - Independently manage the sales cycle from prospecting, outreach, and recruitment of new Property Partners to expanding their participation over time.
- Identify target properties, portfolios, and management companies that align with the housing needs of our clients, considering location, unit type/size, and affordability.
- Conduct targeted outreach to leasing staff, portfolio managers, regional managers, and property owners to secure partnerships.
- Develop and execute email and call campaigns to set up meetings with potential partners.
- Facilitate a seamless handoff for technical onboarding with property managers, owners, and on-site staff.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of potential and active partners using Salesforce and other tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage the inventory of available units.
- Consistently deliver on growth objectives in partnership with the VP of Property Partnerships and Managing Director.
Skills and Qualifications
- Professional experience in sales, account management, business development, customer success, or recruiting; experience in the property management industry is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and develop documents such as memorandums of understanding and contracts.
- Strong independent work ethic, with the ability to set and achieve goals autonomously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, small-team environment where adaptability, flexibility, and creativity are essential.
- Understanding of the landlord perspective, ideally gained through experience in multi-family property management or real estate.
- Preferred knowledge of supportive housing programs such as Housing Choice Voucher, Rapid Rehousing, VASH, LIHTC, or similar.
