What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at A Hiring Company?
Looking for a full time job (40hrs) with a 4 day work week? Never want to work weekends or holidays?
Position located in Gibsonville, NC (Right outside of Burlington, Elon, & Greensboro)
Job duties include:
- Animal restraint (dog & cat)
- Patient and exam intake
- Sample collection and running diagnostics (applicant should be skilled in venipuncture)
- Surgical Prep, Anesthetic monitoring, and Surgical recovery (applicant should be skilled in placing IV Catheters)
- Taking Radiographs
- Basic Hospital cleanliness and bio-hazard awareness
- Filling prescriptions
- Administering medication and giving vaccinations
- Communication skills with team mates and patient owners
- Team player
- Must be skilled using computers and technology as we are a (mostly) paperless hospital. We have an cloud based electronic medical record, digital radiology, and digital whiteboard.
- Must have past experience as a veterinary assistant (pay is based off current skill level and will be increased with skill acquisition)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 7:15am-6pm (with 1hr lunch) four days a week. Schedule will be set during hiring process to meet your needs.
