A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO 9001 certified company, is a leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan, IL, is currently seeking a full-time IT Support Technician.
Primary purpose of job:
The IT Support Technician will support users and corporate computer systems, software, and network connectivity within the organization.

- Responsible for providing company-wide prompt helpdesk support to internal users with network, hardware and software issues.
- Establish and maintain Microsoft 365 Administration, RingCentral, Active Directory user accounts profiles, file sharing permissions, and data security.
- Research, analyze, monitor, audit, troubleshoot and resolve data network and security problems; develop, maintain, and implement network support.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows 11, virtual machines and iOS devices including software updates and operating systems upgrades.
- Participate in software and hardware deployment strategies and MDM.
- Maintains all hardware inventory up to date.
- Assist with the purchase, deployment and upgrades of computers, printers, peripherals, supplies and software.
- Document helpdesk solutions to tickets and operational procedures for the IT Department.
- Provide new hire orientations with IT and train users in proper technology usage.
- Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information processes stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
- Maintaining and installing engineering software
- Assist other departments as a technology resource.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities:
- Education: Associate’s degree in computer science or higher.
- Requires a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, computer networks, various other software.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and be able to work cooperatively with a variety of levels of staff internally and externally.
- Must have quick and effective problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
- Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
- 3 years of computer experience in current technologies and products used in the industry.
- Willingness and desire to learn new technologies are a must.
