Job Description :

A strong sales team is a vital element to delivering superior and distinctive customer service while driving maximum revenue results. The personal, mission-driven and account focused sales approach used by A Line career stylists requires constant training, coaching and mentoring of the sales team from a strategic, dedicated Sales Director.

The Sales Director at A Line Boutique is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, training, motivating, coaching and mentoring all sales associates across all locations throughout the employee lifecycle and ensuring the sales team is consistently meeting and exceeding performance goals. This individual is target and deadline-driven and boasts a humble command instinct with an ability to hold individuals and teams to a high level of accountability. This professional is control-oriented and seeks to implement and regulate A Line’s proven sales philosophy – using his / her experiences to determine strategic direction and coach team members individually.

This individual must be able to do the job of the stylist but have the desire and passion to lead through planning , directing , and controlling the activities of the team to achieve or exceed desired objectives through client engagement and proven sales tactics. Responsibilities of these elements include :

  • Planning & Developing - Forecasts, Objectives, Policies, Procedures, Programs, Schedules, Standards
  • Directing - Supervising, Motivating, Coordinating, Counseling, Staffing, Training
  • Controlling - Measuring, Evaluating, Correcting, Improving

The expectation of this role is that 90% of the time is spent in the stores coaching, directing and co-selling with the stylists and 10% is spent in planning, constructing, and elevating A Line Boutique’s sales strategy with the management team.

This position will be responsible for overseeing A Line Boutique’s sales team across all 6 locations, with a home base in Denver, CO and opportunities to travel to Salt Lake City, UT and Carlsbad, CA to work with local teams.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct interactive interviews for potential new employees during the interview process
  • Plan, organize and execute onboarding and training of new stylists
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing sales and training materials including 30 / 60 / 90 day scorecards, stylist training manual, daily style logs, and supplemental materials as needed
  • Co-selling with the stylist team to demonstrate and lead A Line’s sales philosophy and identify coaching opportunities for the team and individuals
  • Work closely with management team to set sales goals by stylist that result in achieving overall company goals
  • Lead daily sales stand up call with multi-state team
  • Analyze sales trends by customer, by stylist, by designer and by store and report during weekly management, sales, buying, and strategy meetings
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for client acquisition and retention
  • Manage the customer database and work to ensure appropriate ownership and systems exist to maximize the lifecycle of all current and potential new clients
  • Assist CFO in to managing store coverage, PTO and time-off requests
  • Build out education strategies and conduct product knowledge quizzes alongside buyer
  • Contribute to the overall buy based on real-time customer feedback and selling patterns – identifying opportunities or missed sales based on sizing, style, color, trends etc.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

  • Performance based compensation inclusive of base salary and commission
  • Annual bonus based on the achievement of KPIs and company goals
  • PTO (10 days) plus company holiday schedule, with an additional 10 hours added at each work anniversary
