Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: Up to $20/hr
Work Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (45-minute lunch) | 40 hours per week (overtime may be available)
We are currently hiring for a Material Handler position in San Diego, CA! Key Responsibilities:
- Pallet/Case Picking:
- Process customer orders, including scanning barcodes, picking, and labeling boxes.
- Pick and pack orders.
- Process orders using RF technology and maintain an organized work area.
- Ensure accuracy and shipment packaging.
- Pallet Build:
- Palletize products, including scanning and placing completed orders onto pallets.
- Re-palletize products for shipment, and perform dock manifest duties.
- Operate MHE and transport pallets when necessary.
- Quality & Safety:
- Work in climate-controlled rooms (ambient, cold, and freezing temperatures).
- Understand organizational quality goals and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensure safety practices are adhered to, assisting with the overall security of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; 1 year of relevant warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under minimal supervision.
- Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable working in a metrics-driven warehouse environment.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks in a physically demanding environment.
- Frequent use of hands for gripping, grasping, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Steel or composite toe shoes required.
- Drug test required (due to possible forklift use).
