Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Operator 3 to join our Packaging Operations team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in machine operation, particularly in running filling equipment and assembling/disassembling machines for cleaning. This position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and following standard operating procedures to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain filling equipment, including hand-filling, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), and Bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills).
• Set up, clean, and troubleshoot production machinery, ensuring it meets operational standards.
• Monitor process parameters, including temperature, humidity, and RPMs, using meters, gauges, and displays.
• Package final products into end-user containers according to approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Maintain accurate production logs (both written and electronic) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Move materials to and from staging areas using manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
• Ensure products are within specified weight tolerances as per IMW A163.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and machinery.
• Use independent judgment to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine setup, operations, and processes.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet production and safety goals.
• Assist with overtime as needed to meet business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse environment.
• Experience with operating filling equipment and maintaining production machinery.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting during an 8-hour shift (1-5 lbs: 70%; 5-25 lbs: 30%).
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for 50% to 95% of the workday.
• Must be capable of passing a physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.
• Comfortable working in a dusty environment and wearing N95 respirators and other PPE when required.

Additional Information:

• Respirator Requirement: Must be clean-shaven and comfortable wearing a respirator daily due to the nature of the work environment.
• Safety Protocols: Routine use of safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators, and hearing protection may be required.
• Forklift Experience: A plus, but not required.
• Overtime: May be required to meet production needs.
