What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Development Engineering Technician position at A-Line Staffing Solutions?
In the Materials R&D group, the Technician I will be responsible for conducting bench level testing / experiments; writing technical reports; supporting test request work flow; operation of equipment in the materials characterization and testing labs while ensuring compliance with BD quality policies. The Technician I understands procedures and practices through appropriate communication, training and education of sound quality assurance principles; ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.
Project Responsibilities :
- Assists in the execution of materials testing that support sustaining engineering, new product development or technology feasibility testing with supervision.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory material test results.
- Reports results of experiments to direct manager and materials engineers.
- When necessary prepares technical reports according to an established template.
- Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Works with the team to organize lab functions; including calibration.
- Has basic understanding of materials characterization capabilities.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
