Job Description
Immediate need for a talented Product Development Engineering Technician. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Mahwah, NJ(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact us ASAP if you are interested.
Daily tasks include disassembling products and running test procedures and assisting the engineering team with fabrication. The ideal candidate is organized with multiple projects, thorough in detail-oriented tasks, and possesses a friendly personality.
This role is based out of our office located in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist engineering teams with conducting testing and experiments.
- Disassembling competitors’ products for technical evaluation
- Assemble, test & troubleshoot mechanical/electrical products.
- Work with product development team to develop new product systems parameters and evaluation of system functionalities.
- Execute experiments, collect and analyze data and report all the data and discoveries.
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of related technical experience.
- CAD is not required, but prior experience is a plus.
- Microsoft 365
- Ability to use power tools, hand tools, soldering equipment.
- Must have hands-on experience in handling experiments or laboratory equipment.
- Prior experience with building and disassembling small products.
- Must be capable of handling multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
Education
- Technical School Degree or Associates required in an engineering related field or equivalent experience, bachelor's degree in engineering a plus.
