Compensation
The pay for this position is between $180,500 - $272,600k / yr

The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call weekend duties.
Responsibilities
Manage the operations of a large oncology unit or multiple units, ensuring staff provides high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care that complies with local, state, and federal requirements.
Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare providers to establish, implement, and maintain patient care and quality service standards to meet member expectations.
Act as a patient advocate, resolving patient care issues and ensuring optimal outcomes for oncology patients.
Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum of oncology care.
Develop and monitor department budgets, resource allocations, and financial performance, while identifying strategies to reduce costs and improve care quality.
Lead recruitment, screening, interviewing, training, and ongoing staff development, ensuring the competency of all department staff.
Address human resource, labor relations, employee safety, and risk management issues effectively.
Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies and procedures to support organizational goals, collaborating with Physician Team Leaders and Department Chiefs in oncology services.
Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, Nurse Practice Act, and oncology-specific care regulations.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in management / leadership roles required.
Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience required.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health-related field required, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
Registered Nurse License (California)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
PALS, PEARS, and / or ACLS certifications may be required depending on department.
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years of experience in an outpatient oncology care setting.
Clinical specialization in oncology nursing.
Master’s degree preferred.
