Title: Sr Financial Analyst
Rate: $50/hr
Location: Detroit, MI
This is for a special project, 3 month contract
Note: This is a contract on W2. THIS IS NOT OPEN TO C2C.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing, validating and analyzing financial information; preparing journal entries; maintaining fixed asset records; reconciling fixed asset and other general ledger account balances on a monthly basis; work closely with other departments to assist with fixed asset and other financial issues.
- Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations, investigating and clearing any reconciling items
- Review fixed asset project and purchase requests for proper accounting treatment and compliance with System’s capital policy.
- Work closely with departments in recognizing asset retirements timely
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Assist in footnote preparation for quarterly/annual financial statements.
- Perform other responsibilities or assignments as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
