Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $65.00–$70.00 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is part-time, weekend-only.
- Required availability: Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Temporary position through February 2024, offering 20–30 hours per week.
Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriate drug usage, dosage, potential interactions, and administration methods.
- Maintain patient/resident databases, including medical history and medication records.
- Ensure appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered and evaluated.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
- Document all communications with healthcare staff, patients, and families in the medical record.
- Implement safe practices for procuring, storing, distributing, and disposing of drugs.
- Address medication-related errors with the Pharmacy Manager.
- Provide guidance to staff on medication procurement and administration procedures.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Pharmacist Requirements
- Active and valid Connecticut Pharmacist License.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or institutional settings.
- Flexible availability, including weekends.
- Detail-oriented and goal-driven with strong communication skills.
