POSITION OVERVIEW
The Design Coordinator reports to the Director of Design & Technical Services. This position plays a critical role in managing the quality of the development and design process, while implementing Aman's standards and brand objectives through a focus on superior design strategies and solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- A bachelor's degree in design or architecture is required
- Eligibility to work in United States
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an architectural or interior designer, design coordinator or in a related role
- Familiarity with aspects of luxury hotel and resort project delivery. Design & Technical Services background with luxury hotel operator preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, additional languages desirable
- Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and cultural sensitivity
- Familiarity and interest in office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Bluebeam Revu desirable
- Strong organizational abilities to multitask and prioritize daily workload efficiently
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and efficient transmission of instructions, feedback, vision and understanding of broader project team members' needs
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Willing to travel
