The Design Coordinator is responsible for organizing, managing, and facilitating the design process for a project, from concept development through completion. This includes overseeing project documentation, coordinating photo shoots of completed projects, staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and materials by attending industry events, and maintaining an active presence in both the office and the field. The role ensures all creative elements align with project objectives, budgets, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Management
Collaborate with designers, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and review project designs.
Act as the primary liaison between design teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, renderings, and specifications.
Plan, coordinate, and manage professional photo shoots for all completed projects.
Stay current with the latest design trends, materials, and techniques by attending showroom events, product launches, and industry presentations.
Review and ensure the quality of design deliverables before submission.
Keep a catalog of all finish schedules in both the office and job sites.
Address and resolve design-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in design, architecture, interior design, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in design coordination, project management, or a similar role. Experience with professional photo shoots and attending design events is a plus.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, NCIDQ) are advantageous but not required.
