Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to help expand our pediatric home health services. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the growth of our services within the pediatric home health sector. Your primary focus will be to develop partnerships with healthcare providers, referral sources, and community organizations, as well as to increase market awareness and expand the company’s footprint in this specialized field of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for growth in the pediatric home health space, including potential partnerships with Managed Care Organizations, Hospitals, and Schools, just to name a few.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with, hospitals, discharge planners, social workers, insurance providers, and other key referral sources.
- Lead Generation and Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to raise awareness about our services, build relationships with decision-makers, and promote brand recognition in the pediatric healthcare community.
- Sales and Marketing Support: Work closely with the marketing team to craft targeted messaging, develop promotional materials, and implement marketing strategies that effectively communicate the benefits of our pediatric home health services.
- Develop and Implement Business Plans: Collaborate with senior leadership to create strategic plans for business development, including targeted outreach, sales strategies, and client acquisition plans.
- Monitor Market Trends: Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging industry developments related to pediatric home health to maintain a competitive edge and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with clinical, operations, and care management teams to ensure that the organization’s services are delivered effectively and in accordance with First Place Pediatric Solutions policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in business development is preferred but not a must. Sales, or marketing within the healthcare industry (experience in pediatric home health or home healthcare is a plus).
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences including healthcare professionals, patient families, and internal teams.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including case managers, healthcare providers, and other key decision makers within our sector.
- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and identify creative solutions to drive business growth.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business development tools.
