Job description
Direct Support Professionals are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and rehabilitation and facilitates the development of the individual’s ability to reach his/her highest level of independence by living their best life.
Services include assistance in daily living skills, independent skill building Support in the community, and transportation for individuals as needed. Other responsibilities and duties include the implementation of individual support plans, Help Individual reach desired goals, data collection, good oral and written communication skills; experience in behavior management and individual programming for various levels of individuals who have an intellectual disability.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Required) and 1 year of work experience with individuals who have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability.
- Completion of TOVA, First Aid and CPR, Human Rights/ID Waiver, Emergency Preparedness, Person Centered Thinking upon hire.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency Standards
- Valid operator's driver's license
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Report and Background Check
- Own transportation / Must provide car insurance coverage.
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities and duties include and not limited to
- The implementation of individual support plans, data collection, good oral and written communication skills;
- Experience in behavior management and individual programing for various levels of individuals who have an intellectual disability.
- Treat all individuals receiving supports with dignity and respect at all times.
- Provide input regarding the provision of supports for individual's receiving supports.
- Transport individual's receiving services to various community site.
Major Duties:
- Report to Administrative or QDDP
- Provide training, supervision and assistance for individuals receiving support.
- Adhere to state licensure, and human rights regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain current, accurate, and appropriate individual records and other relevant documentation involving individuals and programming.
- Provide the proper behavioral assistance and intervention for individuals.
- Provide documentation on individual's daily activities.
Work Location: Hybrid remote from Home Office Location will be at individual’s home or out in local community.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
