Duties include:
- Managing MLC Operations, staff, and volunteers
- Working with the Animal Care Manager and Thrift Boutique Manager and Leads to ensure it is a cheerful, welcoming environment in which all pets, volunteers, staff, and visitors are treated with kindness and respect.
- Handling all HR tasks/issues with staff and volunteers
- Marketing (social media and other)
- Working alongside all teams to ensure smooth daily operations and best care for the animals
- Handling maintenance tasks/issues
- Managing daily/weekly/monthly task lists and schedules
- Inventory management
- On site during open hours, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- After hours and holiday communication (texts and calls) with volunteers and staff
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, climbing stairs throughout the day
- Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Some lifting/moving/loading/unloading animals and heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Some loading and driving large van of dogs and cats to events and appointments
- Minor repairs as needed (using tools)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Hirees will participate in a training period at our Cove Lifesaving Center for approximately 30 days.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
