Objectives of this Role
- Strong attention to detail in assisting in the day-to day operations
- Maximize accounting efficiency through innovative process development
- Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and government regulatory requirements
- Assist with external auditors and annual audit requirements
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation
- Develop ad-hoc financial reports and work on special projects to support operations including inventory costing and fixed asset/project costing
- Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of all company assets
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4 years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of (GAAP), banking, and payroll and other taxes
- Strong working knowledge of detailed accounting and financial data analysis
- Manufacturing experience with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Dynamics Accounting Systems
- Experience working on Government Prime and Subcontracts
