Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and customer/industry-specific requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Perform inspections using standard measuring equipment, including raw material, first-piece, in-process, receiving (e.g., plating, heat treating), and final inspections.
  • Maintain, utilize, and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for both touch probe and optical operations to validate customer requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, complete objective evidence reports, and manage data entry and updates within customer portals.
  • Prepare and validate quality documentation for customer submissions and audits.
  • Assist with gage calibration activities and participate in Gage R&R studies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to address inspection requirements and documentation needs.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Quality Management.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven background in quality field applications and exposure to lean management tools.
  • Proficient in GD&T, layout inspections, standard lab measuring tools, and CMM programming.
  • Experience with metrology applications, including Gage R&R studies.
  • ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector status (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Ability to interpret purchase orders, drawings, and specifications while ensuring alignment with internal policies and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with the ability to learn aerospace NetInspect FAIR packages and internal ERP/metrology software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.


Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace or automotive industries, preferably in stamping.


Other Details:

  • Work Environment: Combination of office, lab, and manufacturing settings.
  • Physical Demands: Light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and extended periods of standing during inspections.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.
  • Travel: Minimal local travel may be required.
