Job #78547: Nurturing And Experienced Nanny Needed For A Loving Family In Dallas (FM 423 & Lebanon Rd)
Message from Family: We have a house full of laughter and love! With 5 children under the age of 8, we've been focused on building this beautiful family over the past 10 years - and are finally finished with the recent arrival of our baby boy! We value kindness, honesty and integrity, and lead a Christ-focused lifestyle full of endless messes to clean, pictures to color, sports to play, songs to be sung, and hugs and kisses to be given. Never boring, and always a birthday or holiday to celebrate BIG, our family is intentional about being responsible, working as a team, saying you're sorry and meaning it, and trying to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Dad is a self-proclaimed "nerd" and works in the tech industry as a senior software engineer. He works from home, intentionally, to be able to spend more time with his children. He's an incredibly "hands-on" father that cooks, cleans, does laundry and changes lots of diapers - but his favorite thing to do is have tickle wars and give hugs. Mom also work in Tech, but on the marketing/creative side and love to make things beautiful. We work so well as a team, and a well-oiled machine which only comes from being together for half our lives and knowing each other so well.
We also have a pet dog, who is our first "child", and is a spunky yet lazy standard poodle that prefers his humans over other dogs. He's extremely intelligent and loves cleaning up messes the kids make during mealtime. He's gentle, doesn't bite, doesn't lick and is super easy to be around. He doesn't shed and doesn't bark but will follow you around if you let him. We also have a cleaning crew come every couple weeks to deep clean the house on Friday mornings.
About the Children: Our oldest child is 8.5 year old boy, his goal with everyone he meets is to make them laugh! His enthusiastic personality is infectious and he's equally lovable and snuggly as he is rough, tough and rowdy. He is a unique little soul who has a colorful entry story into the world - and because of this story, we were able to adopt him when he was an infant. His interests are widespread from anything having to do with a ball, to anything that requires being outside or moving his body! He is diagnosed with ADHD and takes medication to help him focus and maintain his emotions. Every day is new and those that care for him should know that he sometimes struggles with impulsivity, memory, focus, executive functioning and maintaining his emotions and temper. He works on this daily and we continue to see improvement - but just know that at times, he needs a little grace - as do we all. He's in 2nd Grade full time from 7:50am-3:30pm May-August.
Our second child is a 6 year old boy who is a very independent, witty, intelligent and creative little boy. He seems wise beyond his years and we often joke and call him "senator" for his grown up vocabulary at times. He is a rule follower, schedule lover, and also is the most creative and artsy of all the children. He's in Kindergarten full time from 7:50am-3:30pm May-August.
Our third child is a little girl who is now 4.5 years old. She is our rise and shiner! She is the first to wake in the morning and the most cheerful! She is a typical girly girl - she loves purses, shoes and jewelry, princesses and dress up. She was a pandemic baby and spent her first few years isolated at home. She is in preschool part time 3 days/week, 9am-2pm thru May. In August she'll start Kindergarten fulltime from 7:50am-3:30pm.
Our fourth is a 2.5 year old girl. She loves being with her older siblings and NEVER wants to be left out or left at home! She likes to GO GO GO and is by far the best eater of the kids. She loves to dance around the house, pose for pictures, dance on the counter, and sing songs at the top of her lungs. She's loud, proud and full of happiness. She is home full-time until August when she will start preschool 3 days a week from 9am-2pm.
Our youngest is a 1 year old boy who is cheerful and easy going his personality is and will be as he gets bigger. He's getting used to how energetic and loud his siblings are and starting to nap more consistently throughout the day. He really loves his mommy, and enjoys being exclusively breast fed at the moment. We're working with him on taking a bottle and hope that will be conquered very soon so that others can help feed him and mommy can get a little break. He hates having his diaper changed, loves baths and having his hair washed, and enjoys his siblings playing with him on the floor. He will begin preschool when he's 2 and attend 3 days a week.
