A Large-Scale Private Gated Association is seeking to fill lifeguard positions seasonally for multiple pools and a beach. Lifeguard Certification (Preferred), or will train (terms & conditions). Lifeguard Primary Duties

Oversee facility operations & patron safety

• Prioritize safety of everyone in the facility at all times
• Enforce pool rules and regulations
• Perform various maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required
• Field questions, concerns, complaints related to aquatic programs
• Provide excellent customer service to pool patrons
• Monitor pool water chemistry through water testing; ensure that all required chemical checks are happening and being recorded

Other Duties

• Complete required reports and records including incident, accident, theft, vandalism and any other incidents of concern
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors, in a timely manner

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skill and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques
• Knowledge and certification of CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguarding
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, participants, all user groups, and the general public

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate (In-house training available)
• Actively Pursuing or Possess a High School Diploma or GED

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour depending on experience

• Pre Memorial Day, weekends only and inservice training
• Varies, pools and beach are open 7 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day
