Job Title: Pool Excavator Operator/CDL Hauler

Job Description:

This is a SEASONAL position - April through November. The responsibilities include operating a variety of equipment to dig in-ground pools, demo existing landscapes, complete backfill work, and prepare final grades of soils for turf or concrete. Will need a Class A Commercial Drivers License to be able to haul excavator to and from job sites and haul away excavated dirt.

Responsibilities:

· Capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in underground construction, base preparation and construction, and hauling.

· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.

· Load, haul and unload equipment in a safe manor.

· Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.

· Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.

· Operate equipment on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of one’s surroundings.

· Work around sensitive utilities (water lines, sewer lines, gas lines, cables, etc.)

· Properly load and haul materials with dump truck or flatbed truck.

· Other construction related duties as required. There might be a small amount of time out of the excavator to assist a construction crew as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma.

Knowledge of tools and equipment used in building pools.

Good math skills for measuring and ordering materials.

Bilingual language highly recommended.

Follow company core values.

3 years preferred experience.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Class A Commercial Driver’s License (manual) required.

Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including excavators, front end loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed.
