Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Event Planner to oversee rental of two different Center City locations in one of Philadelphia's premier neighborhoods, in the heart of the city. This position is 100% COMMISSION BASED. This role involves researching, planning, coordinating, marketing and executing a wide range of event rentals, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed from conception to completion. The Event Planner will work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to deliver successful events that meet client expectations. The Event Planner will do all outreach to secure rentals for this business.
Duties
- Develop and manage event plans from start to finish, including timelines, budgets, and logistics.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors such as caterers, venues, and entertainment providers.
- Oversee event marketing efforts to promote events effectively.
- Manage on-site logistics during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Collaborate with restaurant and hotel staff to ensure quality service during events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and gather feedback for future improvements.
- Assist in fundraising efforts for charitable events by developing strategies and managing donor relations.
- Maintain organized records of all event details, contracts, and communications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management related to event planning.
- Experience in event marketing strategies to attract attendees and sponsors.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and service providers.
- Knowledge of banquet services and catering operations is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
