We are seeking an experienced Coolant Transfer Design & Release Engineer to join our Thermal Hardware team. This role focuses on providing mechanical design expertise for coolant transfer systems, with emphasis on packaging, routing, and bracketry for thermal management solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end design ownership of coolant transfer systems
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on quality, mass reduction, and cost optimization
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop balanced coolant distribution routing systems
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively
- Develop and validate design solutions through analytical and simulation methods
- Create and document best practices and know-how initiatives
- Drive innovation in design and mass reduction strategies
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in setting up innovative processes and methodologies
- Understanding of technical requirements for vehicle components and systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead design initiatives with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of cooling circuits in electric vehicles

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Mechanical designer
- 3 years of thermal systems engineering experience, preferably in EV automotive or similar industries
- Advanced proficiency in PTC CREO CAD software
- Comprehensive understanding of:
- Heat transfer principles
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid dynamics
- ICE and EV systems bench testing
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Proven experience in thermal systems design and coolant transfer systems
- Ability to lead design reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in interpreting and generating complex engineering documentation
- Experience with DAQ systems for testing
- Strong background in FMEA leadership
- Expertise in product data management and design documentation
- Strong leadership capabilities in cross-functional environments
- Excellence in problem-solving and analytical thinking
