We are seeking a Senior Physical Build Project Manager to join our Product Development team. This role supports planning, coordination, and execution of build and test activities, ensuring alignment between systems and physical test objects within project frameworks. You will play a key role in leading the physical build process, managing cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that prototype needs are met with high quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, organize, and control physical build activities within product development projects.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and Product & Manufacturing Engineering (PME) to secure successful project execution.
- Ensure timely availability of physical builds and parts in line with specified project requirements.
- Manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risks for projects or subprojects with limited complexity.
- Track and report build status, escalating issues as needed to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
- Work independently with limited supervision while providing high-level support to lead project managers on more complex programs.
- Utilize CAD/CREO tools to manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for physical builds (preferred but not required).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in physical build or prototype management within the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
- Demonstrated success in project management, preferably with certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with CAD/CREO systems is a strong plus.
