Job Description
Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently coordinate with the branch manager and Admin. assistant in managing the field staff and their schedules as well as helping in the field part-time. Learning and maintain the software that runs the EVV and documentation as well as scheduling will be included in the day-to-day business routine. You will play a vital role in guaranteeing that our clients receive the best care possible by ensuring the appropriate and timely placement of caregivers or seeing the clients yourself.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining accurate schedules for home care clients.
- Matching qualified caregivers to clients based on their needs and preferences.
- Optimizing schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize travel time.
- Addressing any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise promptly.
- Communicating schedule changes and updates to caregivers in a clear and timely manner.
- Collaborating with the HR department to recruit and onboard new caregivers.
- Building strong relationships with caregivers and clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation related to scheduling and caregiver assignments.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Fill in's if caregiver calls out and coverage cannot be found. Minimal healthcare knowledge needed.
- Rotation of the on-call phone duties after hours and weekends (compensation)
Requirements
To excel as a Home Care Scheduler at Spectrum Home Care, you will need:
- A strong background in scheduling or a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Familiarity with home care industry or healthcare scheduling systems, SmartCare, Therap (preferred).
