We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines and a solid understanding of mechanical processes.
Duties
- Develop and write CNC programs based on engineering specifications and blueprints.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accurate part dimensions.
- Operate CNC machinery, including Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), to fabricate components.
- Conduct setup and calibration of machines, including tooling adjustments.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers and other measuring instruments to verify part quality.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot programming issues and improve machining processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and production runs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software for design and layout purposes.
- Experience with tooling selection and setup for various machining operations.
- Ability to fabricate parts using precision measuring instruments effectively.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
