Position: Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic Technician
Payrate: $31.50 hr to $36.75 hr
1st shift
Tuesday to Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm
2nd shift
Tuesday to Friday 4:00pm to 12:00am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Installs, maintains and performs minor/major repairs to industrial manufacturing equipment including electrical & mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler systems, water treatment, general building and grounds maintenance.
2. Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with PM performance software.
3. f. Completes in-house calibration, maintains logs, and records data as it relates to GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP and other regulatory agencies
4. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
5. Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, metals, chemicals, and other materials used in the maintenance function.
6. Work with a wide variety of precision tools such as veneer calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks and optical and laser alignment tooling
7. Ability to fabricate basics parts using hand tools and power machine tools such as drill presses, milling machines, grinders and lathes.
8. Designs control systems and builds control panels for specialty equipment used in the manufacturing process
9. Ability to demonstrate basic welding knowledge and application
10. Job knowledge specifically electrical experience with 480 v systems
a. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors, and electrical control devices for production equipment and systems
b. Troubleshoot PLC (programmable logic controller), and software and hardware, making recommendations and performing software changes.
c. Work from prints, diagrams, specifications and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs – should understand “ladder logic”.
11. Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate and test a wide variety of instrumentation (including but not limited to transmitters, actuators, sensors, Encoders, potentiometers, meters, tubing and control valves) for improved reliability and uptime.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of work experience preferably in manufacturing/maintenance
- Successful completion of approved formal apprenticeship program in this specialized field OR the equivalent in work experience and/or on job training, or any combination thereof
QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly motivated and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, metals, chemicals, and other materials used in the maintenance function.
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Due to the business necessity of communication, safety and production, candidates must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Able to read, understand, and troubleshoot from blueprints, schematics, flow charts, and to read and understand ladder diagrams.
