Description
Personal Computer Support Technician to fill a position providing remote and touch labor Desktop Support to the staff at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is a Tier II level technician and is responsible for assisting in supporting the staff at Fort Bliss, TX. Position is a full-time position.
Requirements
1. Provide Level 2 maintenance and support of computers and peripherals via phone or onsite support.
2. Duties include creating, editing and closing service desk tickets via Remedy; imaging, deploying and troubleshooting Windows as well as MS Office 365, as well as, other software applications.
3. Affect moves of equipment from one location to another to include breakdown and setup of the same.
4. Provide basic troubleshooting to printers, multi-function devices and mobile devices such as laptops and iPhones.
5. Provide extended support to remote users and have to troubleshoot remote access/VPN issues.
6. Additional duties include providing customers with information on warranty support and contacts when needed; performs system upgrades to include testing, removing and replacing equipment to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU); maintains an inventory of minor repair parts; disposal of sensitive materials; provides administrative support to include documentation, updating computer databases, providing feedback surveys, creating job status reports, hand receipts.
Qualifications:
1 Year of PC and peripheral installation, upgrade, corrective/preventative maintenance support, level 1 phone support.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma
Formal Computer Training (College or IT Tech Schools)
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate information and have creative direction in one-on-one and small group situation with co-workers, staff (onsite and the corporate) as well as vendors.
Computer Skills:
Windows Operating System
MS Office 365
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive regionally as required.
Must have a Government Security clearance /Secret Level
DOD 8570.01-M IAT-II Certification.
Computing Environment Certifications

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.

Occasional travel for Training may be required.
