A Taste of Excellence is a highly productive, fast paced catering company specializing in weddings, fundraisers, and corporate events! We are seeking an Assistant Staffing Manager to provide support to our Recruiting and HR department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Staffing Manager with recruiting for all departments including preparing and posting job ads, attending job fairs, and finding innovative ways to recruit new applicants
- Screen application forms and interview applicable candidates for catering staff
- Onboard staff, advising on uniforms and policies and procedures
- Accurately maintain employee files
- Assist with training sessions for servers and bartenders
- Assist with scheduling of servers and bartenders for all special events, as well as providing staffing assistance to accounts and departments
- Prepare weekly routing board with clipboards, contracts, directions, staff sheets and any other documents needed for social events. Communicating pertinent information to event captains and managers
- Assist with planning employee appreciation events
- Communicating with staff regarding scheduling
- Assisting at special events
Requirements:
- Ability to work weekends and the occasional weekday evening
- Ability to understand comprehensive information, schedules and calendars
- Basic numerical and computer skills required for operation various systems
- Adaptable in a fast-paced environment, ability to problem solve
- Must be friendly and approachable
- Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects
- Previous staffing, scheduling and employee management experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
