Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage debits and credits, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Quicken for bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and report generation.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately.
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Quicken, and other accounting software is essential.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
