What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Office position at A&U Family Medicine?
A& U Family Medicine is hiring for a medical secretary position. Duties include but are not limited to providing a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for patients from scheduling appointments to replying and relaying telephone messages. A medical secretary should be able to assist with insurance verification, referral coordination, calendar management, maintaining office inventory, and organizing transmitting medical records.
Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with patients, clients, coworkers, physicians, other providers, and public health partners.
- Able to adapt to a dynamic workplace environment with efficiency and exceptional multitasking abilities.
- Schedules patients promptly and accurately to maintain smooth workflow, while demonstrating extraordinary interpersonal skills.
- Shows respect and empathy towards patients, clients, and coworkers in all circumstances.
- Ensures clinic is organized, stocked, and sanitary.
- Maintains confidentiality of protected health information and abides by HIPPA regulations
Education/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
HIPAA training preferred.
