Handling Daubert challenges, Motions in Limine, taking and defending depositions to be used at trial are also basic skills required to be a trial attorney.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Skillfully trying cases, presenting evidence, making arguments.Being fully prepared to try a case by reviewing the pleadings, evidence, discovery, depositions, summaries, exhibits and timelines.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED : Member of the Florida Bar in good standingMinimum of 5 years experience in civil litigationMust have tried to verdict at least 5 civil jury trialsPreferred to be Board Certified as a Civil Trial LawyerPreferred to be a graduate of the Keenan Trial Institute, Gerry Spence Method, or the Trial Lawyers CollegeAdmitted to the U.S. Middle District of FloridaExcellent knowledge and understanding of Florida law and civil procedureStrong legal research skills with the ability to effectively interpret and apply Florida case law, statutes, and Florida Evidence CodeExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft and review pleadingsAbility to effectively collaborate and work as part of a team, including coordinating with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneysStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential informationDeposition experience ranging from client preparation to deposing opposing expert witnessesExtensive understanding of Proposals for Settlements, Offers for Judgements, etc.Medical knowledge pertinent to personal injury litigationYou must be able to type at least 35 words per minuteYou embrace computers and technology.#J-18808-Ljbffr
