What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Day Camp Counselor position at A World of Peace Summer Day Camp?
Do you have experience working with entering kindergartners through high schoolers, in a camp environment? Do you love working with kids in this age group? Are you a rah, rah kind of person - outgoing and enthusiastic who can get the campers excited about the activities and field trips that are offered? Do you love singing, and leading camp songs? If you answer yes to the above questions, this may be a perfect job for you.
The focus of A World of Peace Summer Day Camp is to teach the campers how to build community and live in a world of peace - what that looks like, and feels like. We teach, and promote non-violent, positive conflict resolution skills, and how to have fun while respecting and getting to know each other.
It is a temporary position, working at a small, very sweet summer day camp, for eight weeks, from June 10th, through Aug. 1st, with a couple of days of training/orientation before camp starts. You will be responsible for leading activities, and supervising the campers, both at camp, and on field trips, and assuring everyone's safety.
