A senior role responsible for the management of large scale multi-disciplinary programmes or complex projects that often cross divisional boundaries, ensuring synergy with corporate strategy and enabling business areas to achieve strategic objectives. This role will establish the full scale and scope of the programme and the impact that delivery will have on shareholder value. It will also determine the need for, and procurement of services, external support, ensuring that all resourcing requirements are met. The difference you’ll make. Building and managing a team across the work streams to realise their full potential and ensure successful delivery of programme objectives. Building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships with stakeholders at all levels, to enhance 2-way communications and support the development of projects. Using project management experience and knowledge to drive the focus on effective and timely delivery of projects across the business areas. Providing clear understanding to stakeholders / project sponsors on the impacts of change, anticipating any risks and issues and how they can be mitigated. Defining and developing Business Case specifications and plans to support prioritised and often sensitive or complex projects, aligning to strategic objectives and gaining required approvals and sign off. Presenting findings and recommendations on innovative and often radical changes that have an impact on profitability and achievement of strategic objectives. What you’ll bring. Proven track record in Programme/project management role with strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including business case development, project planning, financial forecasting, stakeholder mapping and communication plans. Proven track record of delivery of Data Transformation programmes / Projects (ideally Data Management, Data Privacy & ILM and Data Cloud Migration). It would also be nice for you to have. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - persuades and influences others, using a range of approaches, to achieve deliverables. Strong understanding of Data Engineering and proven track record of delivering strategic Data Engineering programmes. Detailed knowledge of a Data & Analytics function within a financial services company. Ability to define, shape and develop project requirements and associated solutions with project stakeholders, drawing on appropriate specialist expertise to create robust solutions. What else you need to know. We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible. This role offers hybrid working with an expectation to travel to the Glasgow office as and when required (2-3 days per week) This is a permanent position.
