Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for overseeing the company's payroll and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of a weekly, hourly payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QuickBooks and possess excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Process weekly payroll for 100 employees, including hourly wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with payroll or accounting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Expertise in QuickBooks is required.
- Experience handling payroll for a company with 100 employees, including hourly and weekly payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes and compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with teams.
