What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Community LIFE?
Location: Forest Hills, PA (15221)
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll in ADP for approximately 500 staff(and growing) in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with payroll-related laws and policies. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with various departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide support. The Payroll Specialist collaborate with various departments and will provide reports utilizing the current payroll and time and attendance systems, as well as processing benefit invoices and other items effecting employee pay.
Required Education & Experience:
- Associates degree or high school diploma/GED and one or more years of related experience and/or training;
- Experience processing payroll using ADP is required.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow
- Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Can work and maintain accuracy under firm deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good time management skills
