Our direct client is seeking a highly skilled Functional Architect with deep experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O)!! The Functional Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing D365 F&O solutions that optimize financial processes, support operational efficiency, and align with the company s overall business strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and project management, to ensure that D365 F&O is fully leveraged to meet the company s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of D365 F&O solutions, particularly focused on financial modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, etc.).
- Business Process Optimization: Work with business stakeholders to analyze, streamline, and improve financial processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with the firm s construction and engineering operations.
- System Integration: Ensure that D365 F&O is seamlessly integrated with other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, project management tools, payroll, and procurement systems) to provide a holistic and connected operational environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business teams and the IT department, translating business needs into technical requirements and providing functional expertise to support project objectives.
- Customization and Configuration: Lead the customization and configuration of D365 F&O modules based on specific business requirements, ensuring scalability and compliance with industry best practices.
- Change Management and Training: Drive user adoption of D365 F&O by developing training programs, documentation, and support materials, ensuring teams understand and utilize the system effectively.
- Data Migration and Reporting: Oversee data migration from legacy systems into D365 F&O, ensuring data accuracy and consistency; develop financial reports and dashboards using D365 reporting tools and Power BI.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with new D365 F&O features and functionalities.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all financial processes comply with regulatory requirements and that security protocols are enforced within the D365 environment.
- Required Qualifications: Experience: 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, with a focus on financial modules and implementation in construction or engineering environments.
- MUST have experience in D365 HR Module
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction and engineering industry s financial, project management, and operational needs, including project accounting and subcontractor management.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with D365 F&O configuration, customization, and integration with third-party systems; experience with SQL, Power BI and at least one programming language is required.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications in D365 F&O are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities. - Change Management: Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change related to ERP implementations and driving user adoption through effective training and support.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with construction-specific ERP modules (e.g., project accounting, time and materials billing, HR, inventory management, etc.).
- Experience in Construction industry highly desirable
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure, and experience with integrating D365 F&O in cloud-based environments.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with Lean or Agile project methodologies.
