Position Summary:
As a member of the MIS team, the IT Analyst monitors and manages computers, computer systems and, LAN/WAN operations for employees at all Hoosier Motor Club locations. Provides system and network support as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with both internal and external clients
- Assists in the training and coordination of systems and applications
- Makes recommendations to Manager on helpdesk and membership activities.
- Documents new processes and improves upon legacy processes always looking for more efficient productive ways to complete the task at hand.
- Investigates and resolves user software and hardware problems of an advanced nature.
- Answers questions, applying knowledge of software, hardware, and procedures.
- Assists Senior IT Analyst in planning for higher level deployments of complex software and hardware to end users.
- Assists Senior IT Analyst in the implementation of new systems/software including data migrations.
- Recommends changes to processes/systems
- Configures and tests computer/network equipment by using departmental best practices and written policies Support users on change control and system updates
- Assists with server operations, installations, and maintenance.
- Works closely with the Senior IT Analyst to ensure all business level applications and processes are performing within expected parameters.
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities
Physical Effort:
- Typically sitting at a desk or table
- Intermittently sitting, standing and stopping
- Regular lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., and occasional lift and /or move up to 50 lbs.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Associates Degree and 3 years of job-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Desktop/Laptop Hardware configuration and Troubleshooting/Repair.
